Keighley Health and Wellbeing Consultation

A new Health and Wellbeing Centre is going to be built in Keighley. At the moment the Primary Care Trust (PCT) is asking people who live in Keighley to tell them what they think of the plans.

The new centre will replace two existing ones: Keighley Health Centre and The Oaks Resource Centre.

All the services available at these two services will still be on offer at the new centre, plus new ones. The PCT wants to make these services better.

There are two places in Keighley where the PCT wants to put the Health and Wellbeing Centre

1)      Oakworth Road (where the centre is already)

2)      Near Bradford Road, about a mile from Oakworth Road

Bradford LINk has already asked some communities in Keighley for their views. We held 5 meetings in 2009 and asked people to talk about what they think their community needs.

We have taken that information to the people making the decisions. We have also made a film about what we did and what the people who came along said. It’s called Fresh Voices. It has been shown to people who make the big decisions in Keighley. We plan to show it to the public too.

You can tell Bradford LINk what you think about the plans too. We will pass your views on to the Primary Care Trust.
