Foundation Trusts

A Foundation Trust is a hospital trust that is free from Government control and manages its own affairs. Local organisations and communities make the big decisions for a Foundation Trust.

Anyone can be a member and have a say on how services are run and provided.

Bradford LINk is looking at ways to work with Foundation Trusts in the area. We set up a workgroup which meets regularly to talk about work closely with trusts in the District. The aim of the work group is to help make sure Foundation Trusts in the area are accountable to all their service users, carers and the public and not just those people who are trust members.
