We are the eyes and ears of Bradford LINk going out and about to listen to what health and social care issues people are concerned about and let them know where we can help. We work with people who want to do something to make change happen and put them in touch with others who have the same concerns. We find places they can meet to talk about what's important to them and what they want to do about it.

We are not able to do this for every issue so it's also important we make links with other groups and organisations so we can tell people where they can get help. We also work closely with the people who run services and the people who develop them.

I find out things that people who contact us want to know more about and I make sure that everyone can understand information on health and social care that comes from the Government and the NHS by writing  summaries in Plain English or Easy-Read. I also ask people what they want out of health and social care in Bradford. I talk to people about what they think and then write reports to people like local Government and the local NHS to let them know what I have found out.

It is my job to make sure information about Bradford LINk and the work we do is accessible to everyone. That means people from different communities and backgrounds with different abilities. We try our best to write everything in plain English. I tell people about Bradford LINk's work and general health and social care issues that might affect them through newsletters, our website, social networking sites like Facebook ad Twitter, and a monthly radio show on Bradford Community Broadcasting (BCB).
